Physical Graffiti is the sixth album, a double album by the English hard rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on February 24, 1975 and was the band's first release on its own Swan Song Records label!
The recording sessions for Physical Graffiti took place in January and February 1974 at Headley Grange in East Hampshire, England. Several of the songs on the album, however, were recorded during the sessions for previous Led Zeppelin albums.... The instrumental "Bron-Yr-Aur" was recorded in July 1970 at Island Studios, London, for Led Zeppelin II. "Night Flight" and "Boogie with Stu" were recorded at Headley Grange and "Down by the Seaside" at Island Studios, all for Led Zeppelin IV. "The Rover" and "Black Country Woman" were recorded at the same sessions as "D'yer Mak'er" at Stargroves using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio in May 1972. "Houses of the Holy" was also recorded in May 1972, but at Olympic Studios. The group's fifth album Houses of the Holy took its title from this song, despite the decision not to include the song on that album.
The remaining eight songs were all recorded during the sessions for Physical Graffiti in early 1974. Additional overdubs were added and the final mixing was performed in October 1974 by Keith Harwood

The Vinyl:

I have just given them a gentle professional vacuum clean and then listened to the album all the way through.
SUPERB!!....
Each of the 2 lps are in wonderful condition and provide a DEEP and satisfying bass and drum reproduction, with high peaks of great guitar riffs...WOW
Each also sit FLAT on my deck and shine out :)
QUALITY vinyl with just a couple of incredibly light wispy marks on side 4-really nothing to worry about at all as they are not audible in playback.
I HAVE JUST HAD THE UTTER PLEASURE OF LISTENING TO HER ALL THE WAY THROUGH-LOUD!!
(Got a bang on the wall from the neighbours hehe)

The Labels:

ORIGINAL 1st pressing GROOVED labels.
Barely a spindle mark on them-however light-just 2 or 3!
Strangely only sides 1 & 2 labels carry the WEA logo, with no logo to side 3 & 4-showing this could possibly be a very early cross-over 1st pressing.
Pretty much ZERO hole wear.
GLORIOUSLY UN-FADED IN COLOUR TOO....

The Inners:

Both present and VERY well looked after.
Very 1st pressing with the correct 'A' & 'B' after the catalogue number to the back of each, in the bottom right corner.
Colours are still vibrant and the corners are still sharp.
NO SPLITS...But I did notice a thumb-hole piece missing out of the back of the 'A' inner.

The Insert:

AND STILL PRESENT!
The insert carries the track listing, red lettering and Atlantic catalogue number SSK 89400.
Strong & ORIGINAL fold-out thick card.
There is also an original offer sticker to the corner-"CUT ME OUT...CUT HERE AND RETURN WITH ORDER FORM"..Thankfully nobody did cut it out! But I have not see this on any other copy.
Remains white in colour too...

The Cover:
Easy VG+!!
This very delicate cover has survived the passages of time with grace and dignity!
 It remains UNCRUSHED, with some light rubbing to the corners and edges. NON of the window partitians in the bottom row have come away-which is quite common.
There is just some handling wear from the last 46 years, but she remains solid and still very nice to look at and use too.
Remains perfectly in shape when the insides are taken out.
It also has the rather rarer RED TEXT to the spine.
