This is an ORIGINAL VERY FIRST and EARLIEST ENGLISH pressing of Elvis Presley`s MASTERPIECE second LP entitled No 2 on the HMV record label. The man that started it all. The fully laminated half moon flip back sleeve, typical of the 50s, is confirmed as a first and earliest sleeve by the position the famous dog looking down the gramophone horn trade mark, being in the center of the flip back half moon. Second issue sleeves had this picture on the bottom left side of the sleeve. Double click the pictures and look at this sleeve closely. Im grading the sleeve as a conservative VERY GOOD ++. These fully laminated 1956 original sleeves are very flimsy and thinly made so extremely delicate . For that reason most that show up for sale have a lot of damage .This is one of the better ones. It does have some laminate cracks to the spine and very very light ring wear but nothing so bad to spoil the appearance of this 61 year old piece of rock history. All the spinal writings are undamaged and can be read clearly.The original inner sleeve is present and still bares all the writing "Take good care of your records" and advice on gramophone needles etc and is in great condition and amazingly the inner cellophane is all still attached.Considering this item is 61 years old, the condition of this sleeve is pretty incredible. The sleeve grades as VERY GOOD++.
The beautiful classic HMV record labels are in lovely condition and if you look closely to side 1 near the spindle hole you will see the embossed XT tax code . This tax code was missing on second pressings. Both sides of the vinyl have retained a nice high luster sheen when tilted in the light and there are very light hairline marks on the vinyl bit no feelable scratches. Only in the dead wax between the tracks there is slight crackle and background noise. The record plays SUPERBLY ALL THE WAY. A fair visual grading would be VERY GOOD PLUS but I have test played this gem and it plays nothing short of EXCELLENT. This is a lovely copy of a MADE IN ENGLAND rare rare Elvis Presley No 2 album . with no reserve and Free postage !

All my records are housed in Mobile Fidelity Mastering Sleeves. This prevents further paper scuffs marking the vinyl when removing the record from the original inner sleeve and prolongs the condition of the original inner sleeve .
