Very hard to find first Japanese pressing of Elvis' "King Creole" here.  LS-5086. Condition is as it appears in the pictures as well as the thorough description below.  See pics for matrix info.


Vinyl:  strong VG to VG+ (6.5 out of 10)
This is a conservative grade. The record has been cleaned on my VPI machine and handled with care. To provide the best description possible, detailed text, numerous pictures and often audio clips are used to fully describe the record for sale.
Decent shine to the vinyl.  Great sounding record, much better than would be expected by the looks of the vinyl as there are general light sleeve scuffs and some light marks, one mark is lightly detectable to the touch but is very small and looks to be the result of a needle drop - this doesn't inhibit play.  Playback has some light background noise and a couple pops or clicks along the way; overall this is a bright playing record and is an enjoyable listen, in my opinion very enjoyable - a great Elvis classic especially hard to find an original Japanese pressing. In my opinion, the record's sound is about a 7 to  7.5 out of 10, the physical appearance is less than a 7... depends on what the buyer finds more important I suppose. This is a complete play grade!  No skips with continuous play. Labels are as pictured with marks around the spindle.  Matrix numbers are as shown in the pictures.
Please judge the playback for yourself at the clips below.  For playback, I use a DUAL 731Q direct drive with an Ortofon 5E cartridge/stylus setup.

Cover / Sleeve:  
The flip-back cover is in strong VG+ to VG++ condition, I'd say a 7.5 out of 10. The color looks nice and the back is in great shape. No open splits though there are some light instances of wear. There is a small tear at the mouth directly to the right of Elvis' ear on the front cover - this undoubtedly is due to regular handling and the lighter construction of this import cover.  Great print though, nice gloss coat over the print.  Name lightly written under the Victor box at top right corner on front.  Name also written on the back cover.  I didn't attempt to remove these as I felt I may do more damage than good.  
Some light ring wear.  Back cover is in Japanese. Spine reads fine as shown.  The cover is as shown here, I tried to give the best idea possible with all the pictures.  The original poly bag is included as is what appears to be the sale tag (see the last picture). The record ships outside the cover in a plain sleeve. All will ride inside a clear sleeve, then packed and padded as all my records ship. Please see my feedback to rest assured I take pride in my shipping practices.
Please inspect the pictures well for something I may have missed mentioning. I've enjoyed the record while I've owned it, its time to let it go to make room for more acquisitions. I try to be conservative when grading, I hope my description was sufficient.

All records are packaged with care and shipped outside their sleeves and covers, encased in bubble wrap, padded with cardboard when necessary, boxed in record boxes and taped well. SS = Still Sealed
any defects will be listed and/or photographed to complete the description

NM- = Near Mint Minus
just short of perfect - acceptable defects would include a hairline mark not detectable to the touch and not affecting playback, background noise is nearly silent

VG++ = Very Good Plus Plus
most records I will list fall under this grade, just short of NM- but may have a mark or contact wear to the label to grade it slightly lower, maybe a drill hole or saw cut, maybe a mark or name written on the label lightly, sound is still great, loud and near perfect, cover may have slight edge or corner wear, maybe slight ring wear

VG+ = Very Good Plus
 a great record, sound is high quality though may have a few pops or clicks, overall very nice looking vinyl possibly with light marks & scuffs, labels may have a name or mark on them, possible light contact wear to the label, covers may have a small split but not large or gaping, edge wear on cover may show more than slight, may be a mark on cover

VG = Very Good
only records I will list with this grade would be rather rare or of higher book value, meant to sell as a filler until a better record comes along, vinyl may have feel-able marks but should play through without skipping, pops or clicks may be louder than usual, may have marks or wear on the label, cover may have open splits, wear on print, may have marks or other very apparent defects (all will be stated in description either by type or in the pictures)
