ELECTRIC LADYLAND. The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Warner-Reprise 2RS 6307 2LPs. U.S. pressing. RARE relatively early pressing with the TWO TONE Warner 7/Reprise label. There were no earlier style labels ever on Electric Ladyland. Even the earliest first pressing of this album would have these two-tone Warner-Reprise labels.
Electric Ladyland was originally released in September 1968. Included are the original Warner-Reprise paper inner sleeves showing other records available.
The records themselves are NM (near mint). Stored in audiophile anti-static sleeves. ALL 4 sides have been play tested and play great on my Thorens turntable. NO skips. No warps. No scuff marks. Visually these records look mint. There is a little extremely minor surface noise but only in a few places and only noticeable on the quiet passages, yet other places with quiet passages play/sound perfect. Most people may not even notice any minor surface noise since this pressing sounds great otherwise. I myself probably wouldn`t even notice any slight surface noise if I didn`t get hooked on some of these 180 gram audiophile pressings that are virtually completely quiet inbetween songs like a CD. The highs are crisp and no distortion such as if this vinyl had been played on a turntable with a lousy stylus. Considering these records are 47 or 48 years old, they look and sound amazing! This copy of Electric Ladyland was obviously taken care of and stored well. The records still retain nice gloss.
I would say the cover is above average for an original early pressing of Electric Ladyland. It has normal ringwear but is VG+ at the very least, for a dark printed cover which tends to really show ringwear. This album is physically about 47 or 48 years old!
