Description
Mega rare Afro Funk from Ebo Taylor Jr. : "Monu Soul Funky" or "Mondo Soul Funky" how it is spelled on the cover, was comped on the incredibly good Ghana Soundz series on the highly recommended Soundway record label. The second Funk track on here, "Swinging Soul For Love" was never re-issued, so here's an opportunity to impress your fellow record nerds or dj friends!
The Vinyl is in true Near Mint. This record was un-played before I found it back in Ghana only weeks ago. Glossy, un-scuffed. Spectacular!
Cover is super nice with only minimal wear, no seam splits! There's a crease in the center of the lower third of the front and back cover. This must have happened when the sleeve was assembled adn before the record was inserted. Check out the pictures - you will not be able to find a nicer copy!
There are two soft clicks after the first 1/3 of "Mondo Soul Funky". This is a pressing defect that also occurs on my own copy at exactly the same spot. If you don't know it's there, you're likely to miss it.
I'm normally trading my records with other collectors and have been known to sell a record or two in private and only put a few things on ebay about once a year so if I would be you, I'd take advantage of this!
Please listen to the long sound clip below. The two Funk tracks are track 1 and 2 on Side 2 of this record. I recorded them both in their entirety and in one piece No fades in or out, you can hear exactly how clean these tracks play from run-in groove and how immaculately clean the dead space between the two tracks is. Low bitrate however, because I don't have unlimited space to host this stuff...
