Beautiful copy of this increasingly hard to get (in this condition, and with poster) 1965 UK original pressing of this classic album on unboxed DECCA, SKL 5025

  Side 1   XZAL - 9363 - P - 6W with stampers "1" and "C" at 9 o'clock and 3.30 o'clock respectively 

Side 2   XZAL - 9364 - P - 4W with stampers "1" and "1 A" at 9 o'clock and 3.30 o'clock respectively

The condition of the vinyl is truly excellent+. A real "gleamer" in fact with obviously not many plays at all. Beautiful heavy duty vinyl with gorgeous jet black sheen. When held at the right angle under a bright light I could just make out a few very small, and strictly surface only, paper scuff marks and wispy hairlines abut even these are few and far between and are completely non-intrusive. There is just one single 2cm very light scuff mark on track 1 side 2 which is visible (though not obviously so) in normal daylight. So, not quite "near mint" but still gorgeous!

Each label is pristine. The original matt finish and silver text remain perfectly intact with just a couple of very, very faint and small spindle traces in evidence adjacent to the centre hole on each label.

The iconic front-laminated Upton printing Group outer sleeve is a excellent. Each edge remains perfect : rigid and no scuffing whatsoever. Each corner remains a well defined right angle with just minimal rubbing and the spine is equally impressive with nice firmness throughout and all text remaining perfectly legible and unblemished. The iconic front side photo is perfect with all colouring remaining rich and vibrant. There is a little laminate lifting towards the spine in the top left quadrant and a further three 1cm surface laminate creases adjacent and perpendicular to the spine. There are 3 further similar laminate creases on the bottom edge and a further three 2cm laminate surface creases in the bottom right quadrant - all minor and in fact you have to tilt the album cover in the right light in order to see them.the reverse side is near perfect...it may have lost just a little of it's colour vibrancy during decades of storage but this, the merest hint of some very mild ring wear (nothing really) and a very light vertical crease towards the spine are the only blemishes, and even these you have to search for. And, of course, the infamous "FULL COLOUR ROLLING STONES POSTER INCLUDED" sticker on the front side is there in all it's glory!! Remarkable.

The accompanying poster is perfect! Perfect edges and corners, no blue tac residue, no pin holes, no splits, no creases, no holes in the middle, no fading colours. Just perfect!

Finally, the quality of the audio is brilliant! Stunning, in fact. Great tone and clarity throughout with no distortion on either higher volume or higher frequency. No skips or pops or clicks, and just a little, sporadic background static (completely non-intrusive) during a couple of the quieter moments and at the end of side 2 in the dead wax area. A fabulous listen throughout. What an album!!

Comes in the famous blue and white ROLLING STONES/LET IT BLEED inner sleeve which has no tears or splits but does suffer from some mild creasing, but remains fully functional. I do supply a plain white inner, in which the vinyl will be housed for postage and storage purposes, as a matter of course.

In summary, a beautiful copy of this increasingly rare (in this condition) and sought after (especially in this condition) original UK timeless rock classic - the Stones at their peak.

I take great care in removing the record from the outer sleeve in order to prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection.

Mint

Description: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good

Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair 

Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor

Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
