Description

On offer for the serious Duran Duran fan is a very rare copy of their original Debut LP Duran Duran UK version signed by ALL FIVE of the original band members - Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Roger Taylor and Andy Taylor. 
Note the top right of the back: this is the initial edition of the 1981 LP - no barcode because they didn't enter widespread use in the UK until 1984. I bought the album myself at HMV Records in Manchester very shortly after its release. It contains the song To The Shore, which was not included on the subsequent 1981 US release or the 1983 Capitol re-release.
This cover was signed at the BBC's Oxford Road Studios after a TV appearance at the Oxford Road Show hosted by Peter Powell. 
I attended the show myself and got the band autographs. Roger Taylor and Andy Taylor left the band in 2006. Andy Taylor's departure was accompanied by a bitter legal fight so the chances of him ever signing a Duran Duran album - or the others signing one with his autograph on it - are slim. These are not slick, Sharpie autographs done years after the event but the real deal signed by the band members as they were mobbed by fans.
Comes with original lyrics sleeve which lyrics for songs Girls On Film, Planet Earth, Anyone Out There, To The Shore, Careless Memories, Night Boat, Sound of Thunder, Friends of Mine, Tel Aviv.
Record itself is in very good condition for its age - fingerprints and smudges but plays just fine. The Side Two has three circular marks (on the picture you can see them - the light has caught the top centre one). Not sure where they're from but they do not affect the sound quality.
Cover itself is in very good condition. It has been kept in a plastic sleeve (included in sale) for the past 35 years. Slight browning with age and a few little dints, smudges and crease but remarkably good overall. There's a very slight red pen mark just below the Duran Duran on the front - see pictures. Note that there is another signed copy of this album on sale on eBay for $499 - but that one is not the original album (it contains the To The Shore and has a barcode) and it is only signed by four band members - Andy Taylor didn't sign it.
