Description
Original UK rough orange & black Elektra label stereo press LP.The second LP from The Doors. It was recorded between May to August and produced by Paul Rothschild & Bruce Botnick in Hollywood and released in September 1967. The band had the time between US touring dates to experiment in the studio and used 8 track recording to overdub and create many of the unique sounds heard on the album!
This is the original issue with the UK printed laminated sleeve and matching EKS-74014 numbers, with the earliest A-1 B-1 matrices and matching A-3 A-3 stampers!
The fully laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner wear & a little laminate rubbing and a couple of small creases on the front cover, with a small area of laminate lift along the spine. The spine is intact and fully readable, the lyric inner is intact, with some light foxing/creasing & in VG+ condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with a few faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on either side. The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & clear listen.
The matrix nos. are; EKS-74014, A-1 stamper A-3, B-1 stamper A-3, This is one of the earliest copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1967 UK stereo issue of this album!
All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
Royal Mail post to Europe (All EU countries & non EU countries, including Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, etc.), the Rest of the World (Zone 1, including Canada, Japan, Brazil, Korea, China, South Africa, etc.) and the Rest of the World Zones 2 & 3 (the USA, Australia & New Zealand etc).
All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
