They sing at church, at homes, at many many funerals, and revivals. Many times they are called, leaving their work singing to give relief to the broken hearted after some loved one has passed away or just friends to the death of some one. Their well-trained voices blending with the music from instruments makes some of the most beautiful music one can hear. The song The Shut In's Prayer is sung in memory of their dad (Billy Dixon). Who was one of the finest men who ever lived. Mr. Dixon lived with the aid of a tube for 11 weeks before his passing. When this group begins to sing something inside you happens that is hard to describe. If you come to know these people as I know them you will want an album. Troy Bunch W. J. (Billy) Dixon 1875-1954 Pioneer Singer and Music Teacher of Wayne County Tennessee, the father of this fine Quartet, encouraged their musical development while serving 50 years as Sunday School Superintendent of the grand old. Singing with the boys and many years at Home Coming, revivals etc. being known as the Dixon Quartet; "Uncle Billy" later gave them the name "Dixon Brothers Quartet." No finer tribute could be paid a father than the outstanding Christian lives those fine sons display each day to a time when Father, Mother, Sisters, Brothers unite in a complete family circle to sing together again.
