Description
Incredibly Rare and much sought after
'Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphonies Records From the Actual Sound Films'
by HMV 1936.
This is a very rare complete set that has all six of its 78rpm records contained in their individual paper sleeves bound in its original boards. This item is completely original in original unrestored condition.
Each record features same label illustration of Mickey, Donald and Fifer Pig dancing. As noted on the cover, recordings are from the actual sound films.
The music on each side is as follows:
• Who Killed Cock Robin Part 1
• Who Killed Cock Robin Part 2
• Lullaby Land Part 1
• Lullaby Land Part 2
• The Pied Piper Part 1
• The Pied Piper Part 2
• Mickey's Grand Opera
• The Orphans Benefit
• Mickey's Moving Day
• The Grasshopper And The Ants
• Three Little Pigs
• Three Little Wolves
The covers and art are by the Walt Disney Studio.
Extremely Early Donald Duck Cover.
Condition
All records play exactly as they should. A couple of the records have a couple of scratches but they have absolutely no adverse effect on how they play. The records I am sure would benefit from a professional clean but I am very impressed with how well they play.
Both Mickey Mouse labels are present on the inside front and back boards. The one on the inside front cover has the previous owners name inserted. The one on the inside back cover has no inscriptions.
Only two of the inside paper sleeves have minor tears in the envelope opening. Otherwise all sleeves are in excellent condition.
The binding/case itself has rubbing/wear to edges and corners. It has obvious shelf wear to the cover but as can be seen in the photograph, considering it is approximately 80 years old, it is in very good shape.
The spine covering showing Mickey and the HMV dog is present but has a very small amount of damage to the top of the spine and obvious wear.
Overall this is a very good incredibly rare complete item with all six of its records present in their original sleeves and contained in the board covers.
