Dionysos ORIG CAN LP Le Prince Croule VG+ '72 ZOX6001 Heavy Psyche Prog Rock
Rare Original Canadian LP released in 1972 on Les Disques Zodiaque Records. Cat: ZOX6001. Comes in a gatefold sleeve.
Uncovered in the out back of N.S.W. this record is part of a recent collection stored and unplayed for the last 20 years. Collected during the 90's and mostly sourced from overseas kept in a cool dry cellar there are some tasty gems on offer and we look forward to listing them over the next few months. All records have been professionally cleaned and play tested and graded conservatively.
In 1971 came their first album ''Le Grand Jeu'' playing a rough and heavy bluesy psychy prog rock topped by gruff vocals that would have been at home on such labels as Vertigo, Dawn or Neon. The second album "Le Prince Croule" came a year later and showed band in a more experimental and symphonic mode yet still heavy and raunchy. Both albums were produced by 60's teen idol Donald Lautrec which may explain album's low-fi sound shortcomings. Fans of early British organ driven hard/prog rock such as Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Atomic Rooster should enjoy these early albums.

There are some spindle marks on labels . Record has some scuff marks very light scratches that cause some crackles in parts and is in VG+ condition. gatefold cover has a sticker stain and small surface tears on top right corner, a small deletion hole on bottom left corner, some light marks and small surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
