DESCRIPTION: Deep Purple LP- Who do we think we are. Front and back laminated gatefold cover with lyric insert. Gramophone Co and made in great britain text.. A1U/B1U and "PORKY" "PURPLE PECKIE" matrices. Original correct white inner. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Purple TPSA 7508 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1973 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is very clean with a mirror-like dark sheen. It has 2 or 3 very thin light hairlines on side one that prevent me from grading EX. . Played lengthy passages of this today at a neighbour upsetting volume on my Pro-ject Deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent, clear and loud with great depth and seperation throughout. Cover retains great shape and is firm and square with only light edgewear, light cornerwear and light creasing. Inside of gatefold is very, very clean. Great shape to spine. Only slight fault with cover is that if you hold it at a certain angle there is an imprint on the laminate (top LH corner of rear cover) where someone has printed 9156 £12. Without this imprint its a strong EX and im sure most sellers would still grade it as EX. Insert is EX with only very light wear. It hardly looks like its been out of the cover and has never been pinned to a wall for sure. Very clean labels. No rips, stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
