Vinyl 12" LP Record.
1985 re-issue of LP first issued in 1979.
According to the sleeve notes, this was LP was first released in 1979 under the title Detour and the band credited as The Interns. This 1985 re-issue gives the band`s name as The Viceroys and has one extra track not included on the original issue.
The line-up is Wesley Tinglin, Neville Ingram and Norris Reid. Backing musicians are Carlton Barratt, Robbie Shakespeare, Ranchie McLean, Dougie Bryan, Ansel Collins.
This is from my own collection and was new when I bought it. Obviously I`ve had it many years but it`s never been a personal favourite and I have not played it all that much.
It was a bit dusty when I got it out today. I`ve given it a clean and looked at it first under a bright light and then in just daylight and it appears to be in excellent condition. I`ve listened to a all of side one and it played without any problems. I will try to find time to play the other side but don`t know when that will be.
The sleeve is clean, intact and undamaged. The shop I bought it from supplied LPs with a very thin rather flimsy plastic sleeve to keep them unmarked on the shelves. I left this on and it is still there, albeit a bit tattered now, so the sleeve has been protected all these years. Near the front upper right hand corner you can see some faint marks (not actual damage) to the sleeve itself where a price sticker was. It is not all that noticeable.
