DEEP PURPLE     ( This is the Ultra-Rare Holy Grail 1969 original UK  Pressing Issue of Deep Purples superb Debut album .What makes this issue so rare is that it was only produced for approx 3 months  from the end of the summer 1969 till the begining of November 1969   !  The  initial 1st Presses were on the yellow parlophone label but with '' sold in the uk....... '' text  and even though these are very hard to find these days , they out number the 69 variant labels by over 10 to 1. This is the only one we have ever come across !  Impossibly rare pressing which you  NEVER SEE !!!  This little gem is complete with the correct Earliest 1st issued Garrod & Lofthouse cover with the patents pending print ! and the original EMI advertising inner sleeve .

Do not under estimate  the rarity of this pressing !!! just try and find another , you find many Mono and Stereo pressing on the initial yellow parlophone label with the ''sold in the uk......'' text but you will struggle to find this variant .

This is the correct earliest issued laminated front , flip backed  Garrod & Lofthouse cover, which has survived very well , the front laminate is in lovely clean and bright shape with just a couple of very light thumb push creases towards the opening edge and some fine small stress creases along the spine edge, no bubbles or lifting etc . The rear panel is also in nice shape but  let down a little by a name written along the top , immediately under the top flap , this has been penned over in a blue pen and although sounds bad , it's fairly discreet and doesn't spoil the overall appearance , all the flaps are intact and in superb condition ! as is the crisp square spine , perfect text and fresh pinched ends . This realy is a very nice example just let down a little by the pen mark on the upper rear panel !otherwise Excellent  ( see-pics) Strong VERY GOOD PLUS  CONDITION !

Both sides have a nice deep glossy shine and although on close inspection several surface marks are visable , these are harmless and just careless handling marks nothing thats affect the audio quality.All tracks play through very well with no pops , skips or repeats and just the odd crackle now and then but this is easily overcome by the power of the songs , although its not the finest of examples ! it is a very nice looking and sounding one , easily above the average condition normally offered ! and it's the rarest pressing of this debut which only sold in tiny amounts due to most fans already buying it on release and due to the fact it was only ever produced for 3 months in 1969 !!! Visualy VERY GOOD PLUS and Audibly  EXCELLENT MINUS CONDITION

DISCS ARE ALWAYS REMOVED FROM THEIR COVERS AND HOUSED IN PROTECTIVE PLASTIC SLEEVES.THEY ARE THEN PLACED BETWEEN RIGID CARD STIFFERNERS AND THEN CAREFULLY PACKED IN STRONG PROFESSIONAL CUSTOM MADE BOXES. THUS GIVING MAXIMUM PROTECTION, SO YOU RECIEVE THE ITEM IN THE SAME CONDITION AS IT LEFT US.
