Description
Original UK Harvest label stereo press LP.The fourth LP by Deep Purple (not counting Concerto!) and the second by Purple MK II issued in June 1970, with Ian Gillan & Roger Glover helping to shift the band to mega stardom in the years to come. This is the very first pressing without the later EMI box and with the earliest 'Gramophone Co...' label text and A-2 B-1 matrices.
The Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated sleeve is intact & in EX+ condition, with some light corner/edge wear and laminate rubbing/creasing on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the Harvest company inner is intact & in VG+ condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with no nasty marks or scratches and only a few faint & wispy hairlines and needle scuffs visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX condition, undamaged, clean & bright with evidence of a few spindle markings. The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud crackle, pops or hiss & no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some light background noise during the run in grooves, overall it is a really loud & clear listen.
The matrix nos. are; SHVL-777, A-2 mother stamper 1-AL, B-1 mother stamper 2-MA. This is one of the early 1st pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this classic album!
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems! All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg,
Will post to Europe (including all EU countries & Russia, Finland, Sweden, etc.) and Rest of the World (USA, Japan, Australia, Korea etc.), but airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
