Faron Ruffley’s good friends when he got into the business were varied, like Bob lang of Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders, Allan Clarke of the Hollies who were managed by Kennedy Street enterprises, as were Farons Flamingos. Billy Kinsley of the Merseybeats, Wally Shepard and Lance Railton The TTs, Rory Storm, Johnny Templer, Kingsize Taylor, Wes Hunter of Sounds Inc, Bob and Wes both played the same bass guitar as Faron ( a white epiphone bass and there was only 5 in the country at the time) , and of course John Lennon

A message from Arty Davies (Farons Flamingo's drummer)

Hi K

I am just on the phone to Faron, and he is made up and gobsmacked you have found it brings memories he seems to remember your dad was called Arnie or they called him Arnie. He asked could you put the songs on a tape for him he would love to hear them again, and says but keep hold of the record it must worth a mint, a real Merseybeat rarity. There is a show on Radio Merseyside tonight about unreleased merseybeat songs, and that record would have been the treasured record on the show, its over 50 years old.

The Record Collector Magazine is going to run an article on this record in a future edition
