Dead Kennedys - Frankenchrist - Alternative Tentacles VIRUS 45 - First Pressing 1985 - w/ banned Giger poster and warning label - NEAR MINT
This is DK's third studio album, released in October 1985, with the initial pressing including a printed inner sleeve with lyrics and a poster of H.R. Giger's controversial painting "Penis Landscape" (aka "Work 219: Landscape XX").
This first pressing also features a warning label affixed to the shrinkwrap and an Alternative Tentacles catalog insert/mail-order form.
This version's identifying points include: dark chocolate red AT label (vs repress versions' bright burgundy); "45" on AT label in a small font; rounded upper corners on inner sleeve; and no "Made in Canada" on inner sleeve. Feel free to verify features of various release versions on Discogs.
Overall condition is Near Mint. Vinyl is NM with some minor scuffing. Sleeve is NM, still in shrinkwrap, warning label has some discoloration from an old price sticker. Inner sleeve, Giger poster, and catalog insert are all NM with just the slightest bit of light creasing.

- Biafra was tried on obscenity charges related to the Giger poster, but a hung jury resulted in a mistrial. However, the case drove Alternative Tentacles close to bankruptcy and was a major contributing factor to the band's dissolution the following year.
- Grading is subjective, I am not a professional dealer. I try to place myself in the position of the buyer and be as accurate as possible, listing any notable defects.
Shipping in US via USPS Ground Advantage, it's a bit more expensive but you'll get it quicker with less likelihood of loss or damage. (The only shipments I've ever had "go missing" were sent Media Mail.) Shipping to other countries is via eBay International Shipping.
