Description
Artist: David Bowie
Title: The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars
Format: LP 33RPM stereo
Year: 1972
Country: UK
Label: RCA
Issue: SF 8287 (LSP 4702)
Matrix No: BGBS 0864 1E/BGBS 0865 2E all deeply punched in block characters. Later copies were scripted and appear scratched on
Cover: EX++ minor wearing on the edges and corners. A single unlaminated format that has the RCA Victor logo (NOT INTERNATIONAL) as seen on many reprinted repressings. The early printings had a very flat matt finish, later ones were varnished and had a more glossy look. This has the SF 8287 (LSP 4702) number and only the ‘GEM PRODUCTION’ text and logo on back and NO ‘Mainmain’ reference, these came post 1972. Printed and made in England by Robert Stace. This includes the very fragile, thin paper lyric inner.
Vinyl: NM looks barely played
Labels: NM original genuine first orange pressing with the ultra shiny, glass smooth finish. Importantly this has the ‘Titanic Music’ credits which indicates a first pressed 1972 copy. [Pressed on real high quality vinyl – NOT DYNAFLEX!]
Inner: EX++ no rips or tears, slight creasing on the corners
All Records graded Cover/Vinyl.
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
