Description
Here it is, the rarest of Bowie albums in amazing condition for a 50 year old LP.
Vinyl is near mint, plays quiet yet dynamic, the smallest of hairline mark on side one near the run out groove which does not impact upon the sonic clarity. Side 2 is near mint. Vinyl is shiny and flat. Unique Australian only Red Mercury Labels are near mint, no writing or spindle marks. Stamped runouts are,

Now for the iconic cover, light ringwear on textured front cover, very light on the rear. Some bumping and rubbing of corners and top and bottom of sleeve. Spine intact and text is legible. Photos will show overall condition. Also to add it comes with original plastic inner sleeve, not essential but just in case a potential buyer wants a complete copy.
In 1971, Mercury (actually a subsidiary of Philips) issued Bowie's third studio album - The Man Who Sold The World.
Australia was the only country aside from the UK to get the rare and valuable 'dress sleeve'.
It has been estimated that there were between 500-1000 copies produced.
As indicated by 1995 issue of Record Collector, this version is even more valuable than the UK - and by a considerable amount. Even back then, they valued a mint copy almost $1000 AU.
The last sold on eBay was close to £1400 in 2018.
Will be shipped/ posted with insurance in a reinforced LP mailer. I collect so I know that the record will be posted outside the main sleeve and cardboard buffers will be placed to ensure the record arrives as described prior to packaging.
