Very rare original US 45 of Space Oddity on the Mercury label from 1969 - cat. 72949. Unlike the vast majority of these 45s to be on the marketplace, this one does not have a drill hole through the label! This copy also has an original promo copy stamp on the label (see scan). This fantastic single has the original US edit of this groundbreaking song, which was only available on the US and Canadian releases. A strange and interesting fade-out at the end! The b-side is a fantastic acoustic performance of The Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud. Record is in VG+ condition with clean labels and only minor surface marks. The original Mercury company sleeve is in EX condition. Don't let this one pass! I've been collecting Bowie vinyl for decades - but changing work circumstances means it's time to clear out the cupboards and move along.
