Description

David Bowie Self Tiltled Philips SBL 7912

matrix 852146 1X 2* 11

Cover is VG to front with a scuff top right and edge wear.

The inner cover is NM and the back cover is EX

The vinyl plays extremely well with surface marks but there is a fault at the beginning of Major Tom on side 1 which last for about a minute and audible for only 20 seconds. I am not sure what this is yet as the surface is clean of anything visible.

Otherwise treat the vinyl as VG. I will improve the grading if cleaning does the trick. It does not jump or anything like that but there is is an audible effect for about 60 seconds

I am selling a collection of 40 years and 1000's of Albums etc.I only have a chance to play a small section and otherwise grade visually so be assured that if you are not happy with the purchase and send the item back in the condition it left I will make a no quibble refund. Please see my feedback

I promised to report back and in response to queries:

Cleaned and the general audible experience is improved but the fault seems to be a very small warp right at the beginning of the vinyl. I have described it pretty well and it fades away as Major Tom builds up. It manifests itself as a short "woosh". On the 2nd side it is clearly obvious as well but for a shorer time it seems with a few very obvious clicks and jumps and then past it. There is clear movement of the arm  with a standard tracking force.

vinyl has noticeable surface marks and audible crackle but the sound is not diminished so I am happy with VG

As ever, no quibble refund.

The cover description is accurate. Edge wear to three sides (including spine) with the scuff (see photo) top right of front cover.
