Description
David Bowie debut DERAM LP - Original US Stereo Pressing.
-
Originally released in the US in August 1967, this album was purchased personally in the States in December 1972, as indicated by the handwritten date on the fully illustrated inner bag.
- It is in near-mint condition, and although it can't be completely guaranteed, it may not even have been played in its entirety at all.
- Please note that on side two there is a mark running across a number of tracks. However a test play of these tracks at the time of this listing suggests that this may simply be a surface imperfection as audibly it does not appear to be a scratch. (Picture of the mark available on request.)
- The sleeve is in good condition, but has a standard quarter inch remainder/cut-out hole punched in the right hand bottom.
- The spine is also in good shape for its age, with any deterioration limited to three quarters of an inch at the top.
- As Bowie fans will know, this US pressing only has twelve tracks, unlike the UK release which also included 'We Are Hungry Men' and 'Maid of Bond Street'.
- The catalogue number for this stereo pressing is DES 18003, and it has label numbers of ZAL-7656-BW and ZAL-7657-BW. The corresponding matrix numbers on the run-offs are ZAL 7656 and 7657.
- Distributed in the US by London Records in New York, this rare and highly prized slice of music history would make a great addition to any Bowie completist's vinyl collection!
