Description

Davie Jones (David Bowie's) 1st ever record - when he was just 17 years old - making it now over 50 years old!  The 2 sides are Lisa Jane/Louie Louie Go Home on the Original 7" Vocalion Pop Demo 1964 (V9221)

Condition is overall great.

Visual - Excellent - record has great sheen, no deep scratches and only the lightest surface scratches (consistent with removal from the sleeve).  The labels are also excellent - clear and bright.  The Lisa Jane side has a small number of spindle lines on the round centre - nothing serious and very consistent with the age of the record.  The Louie Louie side labels are also bright and clear - around the centre has been etched A DIXON - this is lightly done and does not detract from the appearance - There is also a small A to the right of the bottom right centre prong - please see the picture.

Sonically - Also excellent - both sides play clear and well.  Included is a youtube video of the actual 2 sides:

This is a really nice copy of this investment piece of vinyl - a genuine copy with all the details and a chance to listen also before you buy.

Thanks for looking and any questions please let me know.  Also due to the value UK postage only please.

NB - Most collectors will know that there are counterfeit copies of this in circulation, but these are easily identifiable as they have a large 'juke box-style' centre-hole and etched matrix numbers.

This copy has the correct 'push-out' centre (fully intact) and the matrix numbers are machine stamped. (see close up on the photos)

Just a slight correction to my above description - this is the standard (more desirable) issue and not the demo issue.  Thanks
