DUKE JORDAN – FLIGHT TO JORDAN – BLUE NOTE 4046 – 47 WEST 63RD STREET – M- MONO
Recorded at the Van Gelder Studios on August 4, 1960, this Blue Note session featured Duke Jordan on piano, Dizzy Reece on trumpet, Stanley Turrentine on tenor, Reginald Workman on bass and Art Taylor on drums. Their selections are: SIDE ONE: FLIGHT TO JORDAN; STARBRIGHT and AQUAWKIN’. SIDE TWO: DEACON JOE; SPLIT QUICK and SI-JOYA.
I have rated this LP as M-. Examining both sides of the vinyl, there are no blemishes, scuffs or marks on it. The only item that stands out is a slight discoloration on Side Two, which appears to be part of the pressing. There are no marks on the spindle hole. The LP has the address of 47 West 63rd – NYC. It comes in its original sleeve. The record cover has the address of 43 West 61st St, New York 23 and appears to be in excellent condition. There is no wear on the cover, either on the front of on the liner notes. The only mark on the liner notes is the stamp N.R. circled (no return). This is a Mono recording.
