DECAMERON BEYOND THE DAYS vinyl LP from 1975 UK super rare white label record this was scheduled to be released on Mooncrest label and the
matrix CREST 28 A 1U and CREST 28 B 1U
is stamped on the run out wax. (see close up photographs). But issues at the label resulted in a switch to Transatlantic on which the album was repressed as TRA 304 and renamed as
THIRD LIGHT Meanwhile, the intended Mooncrest catalogue number was reused for a Sandy Denny record. Included here with the white label record is a proof sleeve for Third Light. This is a sleeve that has been printed but not formed into a sleeve, so is oversized (pre- the edges being formed to make a sleeve. The abnormal size of the sleeve has resulted in wear at the edges and the hand folded spine, but the real gem here is the actual super rare record which is in MINT condition - labels and wax. Alo included is a press pack, comprising one 10"x8" glossy photograph (slight crease in white border are half way down right edge - otherwise perfect), and original typed and signed promotion letter (naming the album Beyond The Days) and a separate letter giving the track listing.
Make no doubt about it - you will not have the opportunity to purchase another like this. A one off chance to own some mid seventies progressive folk-rock.

Rumours of a missing 3rd album have circulated incessantly. It was called "Beyond the Light" or "Beyond the Days" depending on the source, and was even given a catalog number, but it was ultimately scrapped, although supposedly some of its material has surfaced on compilations since.
Now on Transatlantic, they released "Third Light" in 1975, and it was their most progressive outing to date, ......

GRADINGS All gradings are visual and strictly based on the standard established by Record Collector magazine. Sleeve EX ( see notes above - this is not a finished sleeve. there is creasing along top edge due to being oversized, and a couple of slight creases at other edges. Also the left spine has wear due to being manually folded to form the sleeve. As a proof sleeve it is not joined front to back at the top or bottom) Record MINT (-)
POSTAGE Please note that for this record I will post using Royal Mail "signed for" service. I have kept my standard P&P price for UK, but have slightly raised that for International post owing to the larger additional cost.
I use Small Parcels first class service in UK and airmail small parcels service for international. Please note that I send albums in heavy duty purpose bought mailers together with stiffener and I prefer to send first class to give you the best service and reliability. Also note that I will always give an overall discount for more than one purchase when I can combine postage fees. This will not be a standard fee as I will always take into consideration the actual weight of the final packet – album weights vary considerably eg double albums, gatefold sleeves, heavy cardboard sleeves, thicker (60’s) records etc. If you want to know in advance how much P&P would be for more than one item, send me a message stating which albums you are hoping to win and I can then give you a firm quote. I am able to offer substantial savings by combined post and packing charges for more than one album, so an additional one or more albums will not add much more to the P&P cost. Also note that I also offer a reduced second class post for UK which although not significant for just one record, can make significant savings for several combined records (although will take longer to arrive).
