VERY, VERY RARE DISC
GUARANTEED UNPLAYED
CAREFULLY STORED FOR 42 YEARS!!!
This is a unique opportunity to own a superb record from the 1970's Avenue Records series. It was released during the wonderful summer of 1970 at a time when Avenue was at an all-time high.
The production quality of their recordings were now second to none, even with stiff competition from Pickwick's Top of the Pops and MFP's Hot Hits. Under the musical direction of the very talented Alan Caddy and vocalists including David Byron, Elton John, Dana Gillespie, Danny Street, Laura Lee, Tony Steven and a host of other regular top session singers, the hits kept on coming.
At this time of 1970, Avenue's Alan Caddy had almost taken up full-time residence at Pye Recording Studios, London W1. The warehousing facilities at Chingford, London had outgrown their usefulness, so new storage and warehousing was set up at Buckhurst Hill in Essex.
Avenue 94 is, in my opinion, the finest collection of six chart entries on one disc of that year - no expense was spared on these recordings as the lucky winner of this auction will hear upon placing for the very first time this incredible disc on the turntable and carefully resting the stylus arm on the run-in groove and hearing these superb renditions.

Record pressed as per usual at this time by TRANCO (PYE RECORDS) at their pressing plant in Mitcham, Surrey.
This record has been carefully stored for 42 years. The only blemish is on Side 2 of the record label which has a price sticker (pre-decimalisation) showing a price of 9/11d.
This disc is not to be confused with poor quality, warped, scratched, defective rubbish that is found at charity shops, car boots, flea markets and record fairs.
You are bidding on an UNPLAYED ORIGINAL Avenue disc that is in its 42nd year.
