Description
DAVID BOWIE "HUNKY DORY" This is a great opportunity to bag a RARE early 1st pressing of Bowie's landmark 1971 album. This one has the laminated front sleeve and spine, is the earlier version, without the later GEM logo, and has the 3T matrix with BOBIL / RASPUTIN stampers, as follows:

Note that the lyrics insert sheet is not present.
Condition is "Used". I use the Goldmine Grading Guide to grade vinyl.
Visually, the album shows a bit of faint scuffing on both sides, with a noticeable scratch across side 2, track 1 (see pic), but which can’t really be heard until the end of the track, see details below. After cleaning, I’ve test-played the entire album (despite what it says below), details as follows:
Side 1: VG, a little faint surface noise here and there throughout, most obvious between tracks, but not off-putting, in fact it generally plays really well. There are a couple of clicks on track 1, the odd faint pop elsewhere, plus a few clicks on the last track, but finishes cleanly.
Side 2: VG, a little very faint surface noise here and there, less than on side 1. However, there’s a scratch (see pic) which can be heard at the end of track 1 and in the gap leading into track 2 (lasts less than 30 seconds), and also a brief scratch for about 6 or 7 revolutions at the end of track 2. Apart from these 2 issues, this side plays very well indeed.
Centre labels are EX, glossy orange with no spindle marks, and no writing or labels.
Outer sleeve: VG+, a little wear at corners, top and bottom seams fine, spine has a few separate spots of wear, but nothing to write home about. There are no seam splits. The rear of the sleeve shows some ring-wear, see pics.
Inner sleeve: generic white sleeve with a polythene lining, some discolouration around edges.

All singles are cleaned and test-played before grading. All albums are cleaned, visually inspected and part test-played before grading.
All items are packaged using sturdy cardboard cases, internal wrapping, etc, and albums are separated from their outer sleeves to prevent seam damage.
