Description
You are bidding on the album " The Man Who Sold The World " by David BOWIE.
This is the extremely rare and original 1971 German round cover issue on the blue Mercury label. The catalogue number is 6338 041.
Please do not confuse this GENUINE copy with the counterfeits that surfaced with the scratched in matrix numbers. This is the real deal with the machine stamped matrix numbers. (Side 1: 10 AA6338041 1Y 320 & Side 2: 10 AA6338041 2Y 320)
The sleeve is amazing and folds out into a circular picture. (See photo) There is some minor wear / slight creasing only around the folded edges but nothing that spoils the overall appearance. This particular sleeve is very prone to scuffing / ringwear and rips/splits from folding and unfolding but I have to say this copy has not been affected in this way and remains fully intact.
This copy as expected comes with the red card lyric inner sleeve. There is some minimal wear / creasing but as with the outer sleeve the are no rips / splits leaving all the lyrics perfectly legible.
The record is in abolutely superb condition. I do not use the term mint unless I know a record is brand new or has never been played, however this disc appears just that. I can confirm the album has been carefully stored for the last 20 years and that the labels are perfect without sign of spindle wear.
Please check my feedback and bid with confidence.
I will be listing some other rare Bowie items / records in the very near future.
