Description

Velvet Underground & Nico LP on Verve Records #V6 5008 (stereo). This is the original warhol cover with the peel-off banana sticker from 1967 (banana sticker peeled away). Vinyl is a SOLID VG+.....with just a few very light marks on each side.  Not Mint, but very impressive!  The cover is in VG condition with minimul corner wear, but does show some tiny moisture "spots".......that does not mean water damage!  Considering the album, age, and overall condition of this gatefold Jacket, I am tempted to grade higher.  Don't miss out on this one folks!  PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS IF NEEDED.  No reserve. Bid BIG.

After they released this album they were threatened by Eric Emerson of lawsuit because the back cover had a  image of him projected upside down on the wall behind the band. So they airbrushed him off the cover of the next pressing. But they still had a few copies left of the stereo first pressing and rather then destroy them they slapped a fat sticker over Emerson and gave these out as promos. There weren't many left so this is one of the most collectible pressings you could find of this album
