DECCA LK 5012 Matrix no's : ARL-9015.P-1A / 9016.P-1A
Visually the vinyl retains excellent deep lustrous sheen. Inspected under bright light there are lots of visible marks but predominantly fine hairlines and sleeve removal marks but also a few other more significant marks as well.
Playback is graded overall a strong EXCELLENT MINUS - plays really well - excellent plus - strong and clear audio with really only some minor surface noise audible in the quietest parts but at the start of the first track on Side 1 there is a sequence of clicks - four quite loud and then followed by four quieter ones hence the ex minus grading.
But really this really is a great copy of this super rare DANA GILLESPIE Lp - it sold in very small numbers back in the day, despite the best efforts of DAVID BOWIE and SAVOY BROWN ( who act as backing group ) and was the first and only Lp she made with Decca in the UK.
The RED and SILVER DECCA record labels are graded EXCELLENT - very little visible spindle wear.
The thin card ORIGINAL FRONT LAMINATED PICTURE sleeve with STEREO / MONO 'peephole' printed by JAMES UPTON LTD is EXCELLENT MINUS - has some laminate lift along the edge of the spine and a couple of laminate creases and feathering to opening with some minor edge wear to bottom edge and slight discolouration to white card back. But otherwise remains in really good shape and the spine remains strong and uncrushed and 100% legible. overall very little wear but does have some ring wear visible to the front and some corner rubs and discolouration to the white card back. But really other than that it remains in great shape and the spine is strong and uncrushed and 100% legible etc.
Comes with the ORIGINAL RED MONO POLY-LINED INNER sleeve which is EXCELLENT MINUS with little visible wear - slight fading and a few creases.
