A new entry in March 2012 in the  multi level "Supreme LP Recordings List" as compiled and reviewed by Arthur Salvatore.  Do a search for Salvatore Supreme records, and you should find his dedicated list, this one is classified as "Honorable Mention" for Audiophiles.  It is yet to be intersorted into the main 4 tier list, but is in the classical alphabetical by composer list already.  To find it you will need to click on the "recent" link and find the new ones last month.  CARE their is an audiophile re issue (Analogue Reproductions) of this available, but as Arthur Salvatore notes, it does not have the main track "Billy the Kid" which has apparantly been replaced by a track from the composer Ives.  SO THIS IS IT !!

My Daughter does Ballet, and when I test played this one she whizzed round the room, she loved it, and she doesn't like 20th C compositions (like me) but this one is pretty impressive and VERY Dynamic.

Early green and silver label Turnabout Stereo 34169  recorded 1967 and the production notes say the laquer masters were made direct from the original tape, reducing transfer degradation. Tape used was quarter inch traveling at 30 inches per second.  Perhaps that all helped the overall reproduction get to the Supreme recording list.

SOUND SAMPLE GUIDE, THE OPENING OF EACH SIDE A FOR Three MINUTES, AND SIDE B FOR 3 MINUTES.  Opening two minutes is 4th mov't of Rodeo Ballet, simply as I like it !, then a minute of the opening edge run in Fanfare for the Common Man, to show there is no edge damage Side 2 is the opening edge of opening movement of Billy the Kid for final 3 minutes of sample

THE EDGE OF EACH SIDE is sampled due to being where most needle drop or damage from scratches is most likely,  This record has probably never been played, before my professional wash and full test play, it was super clean but had some crackles which washed off.

SOUND SAMPLE IS LOW RESOLUTION AND HAS A TREBLE BIAS, SO SOME CRACKLE IS MORE PROMINANT THAN PLAYED ON GOOD SYSTEM. NO THIS 192KBPS SAMPLE IS NOT GONNA DISPLAY SUPREME(NESS)

 Very little, if any play use of this LP by the look of it.

 NM LP (light tics near opening / NM-cover light creasing bends, no tears or ringwear. original price sticker is only extra to factory newness!!) 

Full replay, THIS is VISIBLY, very clean, replays similarly as you can hear.

COVER CONDITION   NM- There is a hint of rear embossing, not ring wear,  and it is quite neat. No seam splits  Only minor blemishes are -

LP CONDITION NM SEE Photo's, fully test played, Has just a few faint spider web scuffs otherwise, only in sunlight, play test has no faults and certainly no repetetive noise from damage. Infrequent STATIC pips and tics  MOSTLY NEAR THE START OF EACH SIDE, THE REST as per normal vinyl replay BEAUTIFUL, AND THE DYNAMICS ARE GREAT . So says Mr Salvatore as well !!
