Description

  • The Complete Philips Mozart Edition! 
Rarely available as an entire collection, released between 1977 and 1979, the 16 boxed sets comprise 148 LP's in total, together with a booklet within each box containing text, explanatory notes etc. The operas have additional booklets with the lyrics. The boxes themselves are in good condition considering they are 45 years old or more, but the records appear to be superb, largely unplayed! The labels show that they were recorded around 1968 to 1970. Booklets again are in great condition, some of them appearing to be unread. Philips original pamphlet describes it as a "musical treasury for the most discerning listener", and "an invaluable and prestigious addition to any home or record library"!! I shall start the auction at only £1 per record!  They can be collected in person from Cuffley, Herts (ten mins from Jct 24/25 M25), or I may be able to deliver to the North London/South Herts area by arrangement. Would have to obtain a courier quote to send further afield.
