CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS - 'SUMMER HOLIDAY'
This immaculate 1st UK MONO pressing of the film soundtrack album dates from initial January 1963 release.
This earliest pressing is on the black & blue Columbia label: 33SX 1472
Both labels omit the 'Recording First Published..' text.
Matrix numbers: XAX 2421-1N & XAX 2422-1N
Stamper codes: 1/RH & 1/AA
Vinyl weight: 161g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover.
Complete with original picture story inner-sleeve.

A perfect pair showing no spindle marks around either centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both playing surfaces retain all of their factory deep-gloss shine, with the only mark in strong daylight being a 6cm non-feelable/non-audible surface mark on side 2 (see image #10). Closer inspection beneath halogen light add only a couple of wispy paper hairlines a & sparkling rainbow shine.

Flawless, totally unworn sound quality which will not disappoint.

A true archive example which looks like it was bought yesterday, let alone almost 55 years ago!
The iconic front panel is in the same condition as it left the factory with no rubbing, wear, creasing or 'thumbnails' or even a single spine bend. There is a small bruise to the upper right but not enough in our opinion to downgrade - this cover is that good. The rear panel is clean is flawless and all flipbacks, seams & spine are intact & unworn.
It sold millions but just a few survive in this condition.
