Christian Science Artifact - Relic - Collectible BLISS KNAPP & MARY BAKER EDDY 1958 private 12" vinyl LP Manufactured by Trans Radio, Boston, MA, January 1958
TR 853 A J8-OP-2261 (Side A): "A Statement by Bliss Knapp concerning the implications of the Woodbury Trial" TR 853 B J8-OP-2262 (Side B): "Interview with Mary Baker Eddy, Reported by Bliss Knapp" (note: while Side B appears to feature Mary Baker Eddy, it is Mr. Knapp simply recollecting conversations with her, and not the actual voice of Mrs. Eddy)
This 12" vinyl LP record has surface wear (light scratches and scuffs) which causes surface noise, pops and ticks but no skips. To the best of our knowledge this vinyl record would grade a "Good" by Goldmine standards. The record is stored in a new plain white LP inner sleeve which has been placed inside a nice plain white LP cardstock cover which itself is in a clear plastic sleeve. 
For your reference, Bliss Knapp (1877 – 1958) was a Christian Science student of founder Mary Baker Eddy and a leader within the church. He died soon after this January 1958 vinyl recording was created. 
We were unable to find information regarding the rarity of this record so we contacted the Mary Baker Eddy Library here in Boston, MA, and received this nice reply:
"Many thanks for your question. Bliss Knapp’s 1958 recording appears to have been privately produced (probably by Knapp himself) and recorded at Trans Radio Studios in Boston in 1958. We have no record as to how many copies of the recording were issued, but it seems likely that it was a small number, certainly far less than most commercial recordings. As far as we can tell, the album had a plain cover." Senior Research Archivist, The Mary Baker Eddy Library
While we could not find any prior sales reference for this piece of Christian Science history, we did hear from a couple of ebayers regarding our original listing.
