Chris Farlowe recorded just one album with The Hill (formaly known as his backing band The Thunderbirds), It’s a classic and quite possibly the first heavy rock album to feature a cellist. ‘From Here to Mama Rosa’ is much heavier, rock sound than anything Chris had done to date. The results were a strange but beautiful amalgam of bluesy hard rock and progressive rock, highlighted by "Black Sheep" and "Mama Rosa" (a song about a drug dealer). It was all a new style for Chris -- a British soul shouter turning to rock singer.

Shortly after this album he joined Colosseum and then 1972 Atomic Rooster.

The sleeve is in VG condition. A bit of dark colouration front [See Pics]
