Description
This 10 inch 33 1/3 Gallopin’ Guitar album is extremely rare especially in this condition. It represents the first long play album recorded by Chet Atkins. It’s on RCA Victor LPM 3079 and was recorded in 1952.
The vinyl was graded as vg+ when I purchased it on ebay about 5 years ago. I don’t know if there are skips since I would not consider playing a vinyl this rare even with my professional turntable.
I wouldn’t know how to grade a cover this old due to normal discoloration. There is a 1 1/2 inch separation at the bottom right corner and a two inch separation in the middle of the bottom and the numbers 435 written with a marker on the back. Other then that it looks very good for it's age. I regret to have to let my collection go but hopefully, someone will feel the enormace since of gratification I have felt in owning this and others that I must now part with. Thanks!
