Description

This is part of a big auction full of rockabilly record from Checker, Decca, Imperial and several very small label.  Great stuff that doesn't come up for sale often.  Many of these are promos or have original sleeves and almost all all are in great shape.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1956


Notes: Original promo release with the white labels/red print and not for sale text. This is Hawkins' first release. Great rockabilly on a label that's not known for that genre at all.  Leans quite a bit into the R&B.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all, just a couple of tiny scuffs on Baboon side. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are nice, but one side has "X" indicating the plug side and the other has a fairly poor factory application. I'm not counting that one as a defect.
