Description
You are bidding on a original, still sealed, Japanese pressing copy of the Cheap Trick - All Shook Up LP released by Epic/Sony Records in 1980. This is 25-3P-240. This album is part of a Japanese promotional set for the album. Also in the set is a Stop This Game b/w Who D'King 7" single, also an original Japanese pressing (Epic/Sony release# 07-5P-120). Both records come with a 4 page pamphlet, also in Japanese. This set comes in a gold, printed oversized record envelope, where it is printed "You Asked It, You got It All Shook Up on Epic/Sony Records and Cassettes". The record envelope was signed on the front by Rick Nielsen in 1999! His signature is in black marker, along with his handwritten note "All Shook Up is the World of Music 1980-1999". The LP is in Mint, still sealed, unplayed condition. The 7" single appears to be unplayed although it is not sealed, and the record/sleeve are NM condition. The 4 page pamphlet is in VG+ condition. The oversized record envelope is in VG condition with some shelfwear/edgewear. There is some creasing at the top and bottom edges of the envelope, but the signature and handwritten note look great! Also included in this auction is a Cheap Trick pin that the previous owner also acquired in 1999 when getting this promo packet signed. The pin is in an unopened polybag, and is in NM condition. We visually grade all our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:
Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!
Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.
Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.
Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches. generally still a great playing copy. jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.
Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.
Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches. jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
