** THIS RECORD IS DAMAGED - HAS A CRACK ON THE EDGE - SEE BELOW **
The Chameleons U.K. ~ "Script of the Bridge"
White label promo vinyl record with 2-page information bio sheet. Comes in generic white sleeve.
One of the most important records of the '80s!
I don't know the origins of these promos. There's very few out there. The labels are colored blue and red - not white, but "white label promo" is the common term for blank label promo releases. It almost looks more like a test pressing, but I assume these were actually pre-release promos handed out by the label and the band before the artwork and label prep was set.
Condition Notes:
NOTE: Record has a CRACK on the edge! Please understand this is what you are buying. The crack is kind of nasty, and I don't believe is repairable. It's about 3" long and impacts the first song on both sides. This is unfortunate because these are kind of rare, but there is still some value in this item as it does include the original bio sheet, and the rest of the record is still playable. I have seen a few of these for sale that are missing the bio sheet.
I tried to get a photo of the crack, but it's kind of hard with the way black vinyl is so reflective and hard to focus, but you can see it.
Aside from the crack, the vinyl looks fantastic. However, I am not going to grade the vinyl itself since it's damaged.
The information/bio sheet is original (I have another and can confirm this), and does show some wear from age and handling, as shown in the photos. VG
Because of the nature of cracks like this on vinyl records, I can't guarantee it won't crack more or pop out during shipping. It's likely won't, and I will do all I can to make sure it's properly secure, but it is possible.
Again, the edge of the record has a nasty crack and is damaged. I am selling as it still has value due to its rarity and that it has the information sheet.

NOTE: No Refunds. Sold As-Is. I am not a dealer. I am selling items from my personal collection. All items are used unless noted otherwise. Grading is based on the guidelines as provided by eBay's "Record Grade Details" web page (see link below). I thoroughly inspect each item, provide several photos, and describe the items I sell as best as possible. I spot check all LPs, Cassettes, and CDs but I can't listen to every album all the way through. Albums are played back using a high end stylus and I play the roughest looking spots to provide an accurate report on the sound quality and noise. Used vinyl will have varying degrees of noise, pops, and clicks beyond my control. All sales are final. No Refunds. Contact me with questions.
