Description

This is The Chameleons - Script Of The Bridge LP 1983 - On Statik Records STAT LP17 - UK Imported Promo. Has both press release pages (Does not have a photo sheet.) This record is in excellent condition.

The vinyl is very clean, shiny and seems to have hardly ever been played. There are no fingerprints, significant scuffs or any defects. It does show signs of being played and handled - there are a few, very hard to see light marks here and there but again, very hard to detect. It does not affect the quality of sound in any way. I played it through on my Technics 1200s & Ortofon cartridges - This record sounds very clean. There are no pops, skips or audio problems.

The vinyl has the following runout messages:

Side A runout: WHO, WHY, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, HOW? STATLP 17 A-1U-1-1-1

Side B runout: WE LIVE, WE LOVE, WE DIE. STATLP 17 B-1U-1-1

The label is clean and shows usual signs of use, but is in good condition. Has the NY import company sticker on one side, which matches the stamp on the outside of the sleeve. The label is main blue on one side and plain red on the other.

The sleeve is the original inner sleeve that I got it in. Seems to be the original for the record as the press release/liner notes pages were tucked inside with the staple removed. The liner notes are in great shape. No tears, or folding or discoloration.

The staple was removed from the pages so there’s staple marks on both pages and a fold where it was folded at the staple. The sleeve has a tear in the front and the seam is split along the bottom couple of inches. Overall in nice condition.

This is one of the finest albums of the 80s and certainly iconic. These guys influenced hundreds of fantastic bands. This is a also an extremely rare item and it is in excellent shape.
