From my PERSONAL Collection - bought used, and just played on my new Denon turntable.
Yeah - I was big into Quad in the day - had the top of the line JVC receiver, four Advents and two turntables - one just for quad - and a quad tape deck...
I rate/price these LPs on sound mostly - then cover, inserts, LP sleeve, etc. I care about the sound the most.
I've cleaned these LPs with my discwasher and Zerostat - if you need more than that, you have some dirty LPs!
I'll be listing my entire Quad Collection (about 100), as I record them - some fairly rare ones in the mix... Look out occasionally for new listings.
Some very rare ones indeed!
Original 1974 US LP on COLUMBIA RECORDS SANTANA "Santana's Greatest Hits" PCQ 33050
This is a QUADRAPHONIC pressing SQ
Close to mint - both sides. Jacket in VERY GOOD condition still in shrink with stickers. Original LP sleeve - has a slight crease and small slit in bottom -see photos. I will note any issues I heard below:
Side #1: Very Quiet Side #2: Just as quiet - small pop right at the beginning of the last song.
The quietest LP I have listened to in a long time.
Records have been cleaned, play tested, sleeved and protected in an outer sleeve. I pack carefully and ship in a new or used, but in good shape, LP mailer with the LP outside the original sleeve.
The record play through fine - I doubt you'll find a better copy that's opened.....
Good enough of a collector...
