Original OZ 1st Press LP released in 1974 on Mercury Records. Cat: 6338501.
After the gradual shine that was brought to his music, culminating with the superbly produced CLEAR SPOT, this follow-up came as a bit of a surprise to the Captain's following. The album eschewed a good deal of the jagged and gritty qualities that had been a musical cornerstone of his work. Though the Magic Band (most of whom had been with Beefheart since TROUT MASK REPLICA) lend their musicianship to this project, they disbanded shortly after completing these recordings. While this work occupies a very different sonic world than some of its landmark predecessors, it's by no means a weak album. Still far from sounding like a Top Forty contender, it is a fairly straightforward set of blues-tinged pop songs filtered through the good Captain's inimitable style.

There are a few light pen marks on A-side of label. Record has some light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Cover has light ring wear, a light sticker stain on right hand edge, a few light marks and a tiny pen mark on back top left corner and is in Excellent condition.Payment is accepted by Paypal. Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
