CREAM - DISRAELI GEARS  :  a very good plus condition copy of this 1967 UK very 1st press rock/psych classic with the excellent MONO audio quality being a highlight

An overall very good plus (VG+) condition copy overall : both sides of the vinyl are very good plus (with side 1 bordering on excellent) and in normal daylight gleam with no obvious marks, only with close scrutiny under a bright light do a few very wispy hairlines and faint scuff mark/lines on each side of the vinyl come into view (slightly more noticeable on side 2 with one 6cm faint and purely surface scuff line that does traverse almost 4 tracks) - nothing feelable or below the surface and nothing to obviously impinge upon the impressive audio quality; each label is in very good plus (VG+) condition with some faint spindle trails on each : note the Apple and Windfall credits on the side 1 and 2 labels respectively...very 1st pressing identifiers (along with the A1/B1 matrix numbering and outer sleeve lamination on both sides); very good plus (VG+) condition Ernest J. Day both-sides-laminated outer sleeve - firm edges and spine - all unscuffed, impressive right angled corners with minimal rubbing, no obvious cardboard creasing (there is an 8cm diagonal surface crease towards the reverse side bottom right corner, only visible under a good light, and accompanied with a little laminate lifting), no fraying on opening edges, some sporadic light laminate creasing on both sides adjacent and perpendicular to the spine and some slightly more noticeable laminate creasing towards the top left and bottom left corners on the reverse side, gorgeous & iconic art work and colours remaining beautifully intact with great clarity still; original plain white inner sleeve with with "PATENT NO..." & "MADE IN ENGLAND" texts, a 5cm and 3cm seam split in the middle of each of the right and bottom edge respectively, and a little mild age discolouration but remaining fully functional; overall excellent MONO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, clicks, and barely any background interference at all - just the hint of some extremely mild, very background and totally non-intrusive crackle during a couple of the intermissions and at the very beginning of each side...great listening with impressive MONO tone and clarity throughout. Cream at their delicious best!

Note that I always insert the vinyl(s) into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself  to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

Descriptions of any records I sell comply with the Rare Record Price Guide grading guidelines :

Mint  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair  The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor  The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad  The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
