Description

For sale is this complete 6 LP set of CHARLIE PARKER - MEMORIAL on CBS Records' Realm Imprint 1963. This series is an archive LP release of the complete shellac recordings of Charlie Parker on the Savoy Label c.1944-50 and has been a must-have for all serious Jazz collections since its release from 1963-4. Amongst the sidemen playing with Parker on these extraordinary sessions are Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach and Bud Powell.

These copies are  from the archive of recently deceased Jazz critic some of whose records I was fortunate to acquire. I will be listing a large number of other Parker records from the same source in the coming days as well as some other great Jazz titles. Some of them were review copies and factory samples and all seem to date from the 60s and early 70s. If you're interested why not have a look at my other listings? Condition:


The records have all been given a thorough visual inspection and brief play test. All the discs have some dust and would benefit from cleaning.


Sleeves: The sleeves are all graded EX and VG+ with only very light wear and signs of age. There is minimal creasing or wear to the edges, spines and corners. The unlaminated reverses have more signs of age and handling. Overall six great sleeves.


Discs: The discs are all graded EX and NM with a few very light surface marks at worst. Overall six really good copies of these records.
