Description

1969 4-track EP on the private Zella label from a West Midlands band with a harmony pop-folk-psych sound.  Cover versions of 'Holiday' (from the first UK album by the Bee Gees) and 'Richard Cory' (Simon & Garfunkel/Them) are joined by two original songs, 'Paper Man' and 'Magic Tree', both of which have typical late 60s day-glo psych-pop imagery.  Excerpts can be heard via the following links:

Housed in a plain white paper sleeve (presumably it never had a picture sleeve), this was pressed by Zella, a recording studio that cut acetates, demo discs and limited edition pressings for groups in the Birmingham area.  Would imagine that this was a 99-copies-only pressing to avoid Purchase Tax, certainly this is the only copy I've ever seen of what is clearly a very rare disc.  Vinyl is a nice clean Ex.
