Description
COLTRANE-LIVE AT BIRDLAND 1972 IMPULSE! / ABC RECORDS REISSUE LAMINATED GATEFOLD LP AS-50 IN A SOLID VG+ CONDITION. NICE VINYL!! One of Coltrane's finest live recordings originally released in 1964 in this auction. Produced at the famed Van Gelder Studios in NJ, Coltrane broke out in fine form that fabled night in Birdland. Tracks such as Afro Blue, I Want To Talk About You & Alabama all appear on this must own live jazz offering from one of the finest to pick up a saxophone. All fans of the legend that is Coltrane need this one in their collection, it's an essential!!
The record is in an easy VG+ condition with just very light surface wear on each side(a couple of very light hairlines and a very light scuff) nothing that hampers play at all, plays well throughout. I would also suggest a "real" cleaning as I do not have those solutions here. This is just a suggestion, the record plays weel throughout as is. The laminated gatefold cover has a light stain inside the fold(see picture 2), a small section of separation of the laminate on the left middle spine side(see picture) and mild rubs on the corners. The original inner sleeve has a split yet holds the record fine. A terrific buy!!
$3 freight. US sales only!!
