UK ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING IN TOP CONDITION
here is the earliest available pressing of this LP and thus one of the first few UK original Vertigo albums ever manufactured, since Valentyne Suite was the opening release for the new, adventurous and exciting Philips stable of progressive rock talent – the differences apply not only to the record itself, but also to the cover and the labels, which have the unique titles layout only seen on first-run issues (this particular placement of track details, style of lettering and catalogue number may only be found on initial pressings) – these features are combined with the original large spiral logo on the ‘SIDE B’ label and, more importantly, the ‘A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT’ text around the lower perimeter – in addition, the disc is noticeably heavier than all subsequent pressings and, finally, the cover is the thick, first-run issue with a wider spine than those manufactured for later issues – AN ESSENTIAL FIRST EVER SWIRL AND BRILLIANT PROGRESSIVE ROCK CLASSIC!
