Description

The amazing and legendary Clyde McPhatter's final recording was this gem of an LP released in 1970 on Decca records. This copy is super clean with no visible ringwear on cover, and very clean vinyl! Why is this a must have? because it contains the Northern Soul classic "Please Give Me One More Chance", the much sought after breakbeat of "The Mixed Up Cup", Clyde's version of "Our Day Will Come" (which was the blueprint for Frankie Valli's later hit version), and the great soul ballads "I'll Belong To You" and "Book Of Memories", an albunm ahead of it's time with great Philly sounding production and writing credits by the likes of Clyde Otis, Teddy Randazzo, Brook Benton and Dee Ervin (Big Dee Irwin) among others. No wonder it's a long sought after collectors' item. Decca Stereo 75231, small (almost unnoticeable) cutout hole bottom right cover.
