CHARLIE MINGUS PITHECANTHROPUS ERECTUS

This UK 1st press is original silver and red Atlantic label. It is complete with the original heavyweight vinyl, polylined inner sleeve and lightweight laminated flipback sleeve.
The vinyl is in Very Good condition. It has a sensational high gloss and is pressed on wonderful heavy 1950s vinyl. There are a couple of very light marks on both sides. The London label is bright, the colours are bold and the text is sharp. There is only slight spindle wear and just a couple of the faintest spider marks.
The sound quality is Excellent. The heavy vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and when played it is a clear and bold throughout. Exceptionally rich and vibrant, with just a little occasional noise in the quieter moments.
The laminated flipback sleeve is in Very Good condition. The laminate has the most sensational mirror like shine. The colours are warm, the white is bright, the black is solid and the image is sharp. There is some opening edge wear. The rear of the sleeve has some flipback wear and a little discolouration but it is still clean and bright.
