This is the UK 1st Press of 'Matthew & Son' by Cat Stevens. This is a genuine 1st press and it is complete with the earliest 1W/1W matrix, the original red and white Deram label, the original inner sleeve and Clout & Baker laminated sleeve.

The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all. There are just a  few extremely light marks and a few faint hairlines. On playing the sound is rich, warm and extremely clear. The red and white Deram label is in sensational condition. It is extremely bright with sharp text, bold colour and NO spindle wear, just a couple of the very faintest spider marks.

The Clout & Baker laminated is in Excellent+ condition. The white is still very bright, the image is sharp and the laminate has a mirrorlike polished shine. There is just the slightest ring wear. The unlaminated back cover is also exceptionally bright and completely clean, the images are sharp and the text is clear.  The whole cover is solid and the spine is firm with clear text.
